We would quite happily say that Reiki is good for anyone and everything. Whether we feel perfectly well, have a whole list of ailments or are struggling emotionally, Reiki gives support where it is needed. It’s a holistic natural energy healing that promotes health and well being.
What can Reiki help with?
The treatment & disclaimer
What happens in a treatment? First we talk. This part is important both for the client and the practitioner, to find out where you’re at, at this point in time and note any medical history.
During the healing, the client lies down comfortably on a massage couch, fully clothed and covered with a blanket. Soft music plays while the healing treatment is delivered. It’s very relaxing and most people nod off at some point, this is absolutely fine and even beneficial.
A treatment may cause a so called “healing crisis”. As your body is given a boost of energy, it may decide to have a clear out and rid itself of unwanted toxins. This can result in a headache or flu like symptoms or simply tiredness, your body indicating to you that it needs rest. Always drink plenty of water following a treatment and be mindful of the signals your body is giving you.
Treatments are ideally done 4 sessions at a time, spaced apart to suit the client but usually one every 1-3 weeks. Occasionally clients come once and decide Reiki is not for them. This is no problem. There may be another alternative therapy that resonates better with you at this point in time.
Please note that the practitioner is not in any way medically qualified and a treatment is never a substitute for seeing your GP.
